Perette Bonner is Vice President, Professional Development for the American Bankers Association. She is the Program Director for the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, the National Compliance School, the Intermediate Compliance School and the Graduate School of Compliance Risk Management. Topics in the schools cover strategic planning, leadership, economics and finance to technical issues covering the realm of compliance and risk management.
During her professional development career, she has managed computer simulation products, educational programs and international training projects in Romania, Thailand, Jordan, Egypt, and Switzerland. Perette came to the ABA in 1989, after graduating from York College of Pennsylvania with a BS degree in Engineering Management and is a graduate of the International Banking Summer School, held in 1997 in Cambridge, England.
Jim Edrington is a member of ABA’s Executive Leadership Team, and is responsible for ABA’s customer-facing areas including membership, endorsed solutions and professional development. Jim has been with the ABA since February 2004, and prior to his current role, Jim managed ABA’s professional development and training covering a wide range of products, services and programs, designed to inform, educate and develop bankers in all stages of their career lifecycle. During his tenure with ABA, he has also managed ABA’s Relationship Selling team, with responsibility for working closely with Banking and Financial Services clients to meet their specific needs from a learning and development perspective.
Before joining ABA, Jim spent 13 years at CheckFree Corporation, in both a direct selling role plus as Vice President of Sales for CheckFree’s global financial e-commerce division. Prior to CheckFree, Jim was with Provident Bank of Maryland for 9 years, and served in various retail and marketing management roles.
Jim graduated from the University of Maryland in 1980 with a B.S. degree in Business and Management.
Maggie Kelly is responsible for ABA executive education and CEO programs. Maggie joined the American Bankers Association (ABA) in March, 2005 as Vice President, Marketing, and managed marketing initiatives to support ABA conferences, schools, online workshops and other related activities.
Before joining ABA, Maggie held the position of Vice President, International Marketing with The NASDAQ Stock Market, increasing NASDAQ’s visibility overseas, and supporting business development efforts primarily in Europe, India and the Far East. Prior to moving into the international area, she served as Director of Marketing for NASDAQ’s US market, developing executive programs, managing the NASDAQ.com web site, and building the NASDAQ brand through national TV and print advertising campaigns and other marketing communications.
Maggie has also worked in the technology sector in marketing communications for Dialcom, Inc., and gained experience on the agency side with Ogilvy & Mather Direct.
Maggie graduated from the Middlesex University, London, UK, and the Ecole Superieure de Commerce, Reims, France.
